I've never minded the name tbh and I find it rather cute. I'd love to see a little boy with this name, it's quite handsome.

I love Frederick, but dislike Fred. But I guess it might get caught into the nicknamey trend.

I'm not wild about Freddy, however, Frederick is awesome and I could definitely get used to Fred.

I believe Freddie is highly popular in the UK right now. And Frederick, Alfred, Winifred, or Frederica are all beautiful.

Fred never should have gone away in the first place. He's more than welcome back into the land of the living. Frederick is so handsome, and Freddie is so cute. Fred, as a nn, is OK. I just prefer Freddie more.

I've always had a thing for Freda / Frederica too.

I'm not crazy about Fred, but I love Frederick. I don't know how I could make a nn out of Frederick when I dislike Fred, Ed and Rick lmao, but oh well. I guess I could back the name as worthy of a comeback, though, despite not loving it.

Fred is such a nice friendly sort of name. I'd be pleased to see more Freds, as a nn for Frederick or Alfred. Freddie is creeping up the UK charts (#60 in the last chart), but I don't like that as a full name at all.

It's so cute and likable. I find it hipper than Frank, and more laid-back.

It is my grandfather's name so I find it particularly endearing for that reason. I think it could make a comeback. I mean, I have considered using it some day.
