[Opinions] Marielle
I am starting to like this name a lot. Mary is a very, very common name in my family and I would love to honor the women in my family by using a form of it and a cousin that I am very close to is named Ellen. I feel like this name would be a cool way to honor both of them.

How do you pronounce Marielle?

I love Mariel and Marielle and do pronounce them differently. With Mariel, I say mare-ee-EL. With Marielle, I pronounce it mah-ree-EL. I've also given consideration to Mary Eleanor, nn Mary Elle. I'm a fan of Mariella and Mariela as well. ;-)
As a bonus, neither spelling is common.

It's a lovely name. I pronounce it mare-ee-ELL.
I really like it. I love the way it sounds & I too have played with the idea of honoring a Mary by using a variant. This is one of my favorite options. I prn it mare-ee-ELLE / mahr-ee-ELLE. I prefer the first prn just because the second one seems a little stuffy to me. I am also a fan of Mariella, but I worry that it is too frilly.

After a couple of tries, I'd probably pronounce it like Mary-Elle, but only because I have a friend named Mariel and I'm hardwired to revert to that name.
I'm not usually a fan of -elle names (Isabelle, Gabrielle, etc.) but this one has a nice sound to it. It's certainly more interesting than Mary or Ellen by themselves and it's not too trendy looking. I think it's a great honoring name.

I pronounce it like Mary and Elle said quickly together. It's not a name I'm jumping for joy over but I'd rather meet a little Marielle than another little Madison. If you dislike popular names I'd be wary, though. Isabelle, Annabelle, Elle, Ella, ect are very trendy and other "-elle" names are sure to follow.
