[Opinions] Tryphena
Just came across this in a friend's family tree. Not sure if it's pronounced TRIFF-en-a or tri-PHE-na, and I can't decide whether I like it or not, but it's quite interesting. She also had a Philadelphia, which I would probably like a lot if it weren't for the cream cheese. WDYT?

Those are both really cool. Where they Greek or just Hellenophiles?
Tryphena reminds me of something-- a chemical compound or a medical condition or something. I can't place it. It's pretty enough sounding, but it looks too clinical for me.
I once met a woman named Adelphi (a DEL fee, not a del fye like the town in NY) that I thought was pretty. Philadelphia has a nice sound, and a great meaning, but yeah, I just think of the city. I probably wouldn't name a kid Chicago or Baltimore for the same reason. But then, Boston is apparently climbing the charts for kids these days and Austin and Dallas are already established, so why not?

Cool :) I like it. I'm guessing try-PHE-na...
Philadelphia is interesting. It would be cool without the cream cheese :P Delphia though... hmm...

I love Philadelphia and everything about it! Cream cheese would be the least of my worries as it is so delicious!! I would be more worried about the crazy sports teams.
I would pronunce Tryphena tri-PHE-na ... its intreseting I agree I can't decide if its a yes or no. It reminds me of a medicine but I love the fact its a T name.
