Help[Opinions] Ibbie
I really love this name ( it's strictly GP to me, however), and out of all the nns for Isabella / Isabel, Ibbie is the only one I like. It's unconventional, pretty,and sounds better than Izzy, Bella etc. imo.
Which got me thinking, what other names could Ibbie be short for? Could Ibbie be a nn for Isidora, or is it too much of a stretch?
Also, are there any unconventional nns for any name you like ( like Kit for Christopher and Katherine)- I'm interested to see what other's come up with as I'm stuck in a rut and need to think out of the box a bit :)

I've seen both Libby and Liddy as nns for Elizabeth, so why not? Admittedly, Liddy was the best attempt of her slightly older siblings at pronouncing a very long and complex name ...
I've always rather fancied Tibby as a nn for Isobel and no doubt all the other names in the stable. But it's just something I've read about: I've never actually encountered one.

It's my favorite nn for Isabel, and everybody forgets about it.
I don't think Ibbie would work for Isadora because there's no b in it. But It could work for maybe... Ibolya, Ingeborg?

James - Jem, Jemmy
Anne - Nan, Nanny, Nanw (Welsh)

Of course! I completely forgot about Sasha as a nn for Alexander, it's the only nn I feel 'matches up' to Alexander. I love Bram, but not Abraham.

The only unusual ones I can think of are Sebastian, nn Ian and Magdalena, nn Nela. I usually like full names better (like: Valentin, nn Tin, Elisabeth, nn Bess, Josephine, nn Posy, Josefina, nn Finka).
Ibbie could be short for Elizabeth, Iberia, Ibolya, Ibrahima, Bibiana, Claribel, Daliborka, Dulcibella, Habiba, Liberty, Sibylla...
I think Iddie would work better for Isidora.
