Makes sense to me. Mikyla or Makyla is how I would spell it if it's pronounced mih-KYE-la. I've never understood where the KYE comes from in the spelling Michaela. Michaela is only mih-KAY-la for me.

it's a matter of the language
It all depends on the language base from which one's interpretting the pronunciation. Linguistically uneducated English speakers butcher name prn.s all the time.

I don't like it but this is definantly how I would spell it to get the mi-KYE-la pronounciation.
