[Opinions] WDYTO Raisel?
I've been digging through some old family documents, and it seems my great-grandfather Chaim (sometimes spelled Chaem) came to the US with a female relative named Raisel (spelled Reisel on the documentation). I've never heard of a Raisel in the family, so I don't quite know how we're related, but I assume she's a sister or cousin because she was born four years before Chaim, and he was already married (to Hilda, incidentally). So, what's your opinion on Raisel? I think it's pretty, but I kind of prefer Raisa. Combos? Here's what's come to mind: Aviva Raisel
Adara Raisel
Naomi Raisel
Raisel Jordana Raisa Yael
Raisa Hadas
Raisa Merav
Esther Raisa

Raisel makes me think of "raisin" for some reason. I agree that Raisa is better. Esther Raisa would be beautiful.

I love Raisa! Raisel is ok, but I'd keep it as a nickname.

How do you pronounce it? My first impression was that it looked a little like "raisin". I'm hearing Raisa pronounced RYE-seh in my head, though, and I think that's pretty. Raisa Yael and Raisa Hadas are both beautiful.

I imagine the S as more of a Z sound, so it's RYE-Zehl and RYE-zah, respectively. Thank you!

I prefer Raisa, but Raisel is okay too. I like Adara Raisel, Esther Raisa, and Raisa Hadas... also Raisa Nereida, Raisa Oriana, Chavah Raisel, Leah Raisel, Raisel Hannah, Mariah Raisel, Raisa Jade, and Johanna Raisel.
