In a year, three of the Barrett-Kirkbride children have gotten married! First, Eloise decided to go back to school to get her MSW, and got to talking with a visiting psychology lecturer Gerard Cresswell after one of her classes. They soon began to date, and Eloise is pleased to discover that he gets along very well with Mia, who adores him. He quickly proposed and they married, all moving into Gerard's large house with his three boys from his previous marriage. The boys don't really know what to make of suddenly having a little sister--Gerard was in the process of adopting her--but do like Eloise and are adjusting pretty well.
Later in the year, both Dorian and Cecilia married--Dorian to rising-star tennis ingenue Anastasiya Ivanov, who he met when he accepted the plum job of being the official photographer of the US Open. They discovered they had much in common, and before the end of the year were married, causing great press fanfare. Cecilia, however, had met her new husband at the gym--an exercise junkie and extreme sport enthusiast, Alex made Cecilia feel excited and exhilarated, and he adored Cecilia's balancing effect on him. They married in Australia, and bungee-jumped off of the highest jump point in the world to celebrate their wedded bliss!
