I was reading a book about ghosts and this was the name of a teenaged girl from the 1940's. At first I thought it was a typo for Janet, until they kept on repeating it. To me it looks like her parents couldn't decide between Wanda or Janet

My name book lists Wanetta as an Old English name, from the same root as the word 'wan'.
