[Opinions] Amaryllis
Is the name Amaryllis too out there for a child/person? It seems perfectly charming and not at all common. And the fact that it means "sparkling" is nice. Thoughts?

I love Amaryllis. And you can get so many nicknames from it, so she wouldn't be called her full name all the time.

I love it! I don't think it's too out there. It's also a kind of flower, so it fits in with the Lily/Jasmine/etc. trend.

I love Amaryllis and don't find it any more unusual than other flower names.

It's unusual but not too 'out there' in my opinion

I LOVE Amaryllis and would use it in a heartbeat. Can be shortened to Ammy as a nn for people who think it's too long, though that does seem like a bit of a waste of such a beautiful name. A friend and I have a special personal reference to a special Jpns. species of amaryllis flowers and that's how I was first introduced to them (through this friend), thus giving me all the more reason to use it.
My combo is Amaryllis Tsutako Esperanza. It's among the more beautiful names I'm familiar with.
