[Opinions] WDYT of Elpis?
I've been warming up to it lately, but I can't use it. It has a great meaning and history, and it could fit in with the "El-" trend.Btw, do you pronounce it EL-pis or EL-pees?

I can't get past the fact it looks like Elvis pronounced by someone with a cold. Hope, Esperanza and Speranza are better alternative, even if the history isn't the same.

Don't like it... Has the same problem at the end as the Jpns. drink Calpis... It's rather unfortunate.

Sorry, but all I hear is "piss." I don't like it.

I think I would like (the sound of) Elipsis better!

EL-pis. I've always really liked it, but I think I'm going to be in the minority with this one. I love that it means hope. I'd much rather meet an Elpis than a Hope.

I think it's cool and sort of pretty, but there's something that holds me back from it. A greek poster here mentioned the name Elpida, which I prefer.I would say it EL-pis, even though I'm almost sure that's "incorrect."

I haven't heard Elpida before- thanks.

I prn it EL-pis. I think it's pretty ugly to tell the truth.
