[Opinions] Keely
I'm falling in love with this name lately. Thoughts?

I taught a Keely once. Pleasant child, whose only grudge against life was the untold multitudes of people who assumed her name was Kelly. I don't like it as much as Kelly, and I don't like Kelly much at all.
I had a different reply typed, but I erased because I figured it would be too harsh and someone would get offended and snippy about it.
I've always thought this name had a very baby feel to it. I can't picture it on an adult at all. It's also very low-class and unintelligible feeling (not to mention that it looks like a typo of Kelly.) "Keel" also has a "keel over" reminder in it.
I wouldn't curse anyone with it.

The "keel" grates on my ears. I'm not a fan.
I think it's really pretty. I like it a lot.
I know a 3 year old with this name, but it is spelled Kealie. (I prefer the Keely spelling, to be honest) It reminds me of Keely Smith, so it could be in my "kind of like" category, but I wouldn't use it.

I prefer the spelling Keeley, but i'm not really a fan. It's too close to dated trendy names such as Kelsey and Kayley
I think it's really cute. I don't blame you for liking it.
I can't say that I care for it. It makes me think of the expression "keel over" (meaning "to die" in American slang.) Also, I'm not clear on the gender. I would guess female, though.
