[Opinions] Wdyt of Mimosa?
Replies
It's the typical cow name here
It's even the name of a dairy brand.

Well, it seems like for Americans it's very associated with the drink, but I don't think that would occur to people over here.
I guess it's like how I don't like Stella as it reminds me of the beer Stella Artois - people here routinely go into pubs and ask for "a pint of Stella" - but in the US that doesn't occur to people.

I immediately think of the drink, which is too bad. Mimosa would be a lovely name! It reminds me a bit of Lola - very sassy and fun.
Same here. I also think of the drink.
I think of mimosa *trees*
which are very plentiful where I live, and very beautiful.

If the link doesn't work, which it didn't in my preview, try just copy/pasting it to your browser. That worked for me.
I think Mim would be a cute nn.

I think of those, too (they're gorgeous, but gosh, with the dead flowers and the seedpods falling off them, I would not want one in a yard that I had to rake). But even more than that, I think of the touch-sensitive variety of mimosa. It used to grow as a weed in the grass around my friend's apartment complex parking lot in Austin. So neat. I suppose you have those where you are, too.
Dunno if I like the name, but I don't think the drink ruins it either.

It reminds me of pretty yellow trees. There's one in my garden - it blooms in winter and really cheers the place up. I think it would be quite nice as a middle name.
Like the drink?
That's all it makes me think of, so it seems tacky.

A mimosa is an alcoholic beverage, so I can't take it seriously. Also, the sound itself is kind of blah.
I like Mimosa! I suppose it's a guilty pleasure, though.
It's a drink. I think it would be horrible on a child, and tacky.
What kind of drink is it? I have never come across it, maybe it is just an American thing?

It's orange juice and champagne. It's served all over America.
We call that Bucks Fizz!
