The family finally decided to stop growing after twin boys Calvin and Oliver arrived. Juno often expressed the desire for a sister, a comrade among so many brothers, but Rowan and Delia decided not to try again since they’re batting a 1/7 of their biological children. So they settled in with their large family and put any thoughts of expansion from their minds.
Ambrose has started dating, which is terrifying to his parents but he seems to be as smart and responsible a young man as they could hope for from a 16-year old. Sully is looking forward to starting high school soon and hopes to make the varsity football team. Ephraim recently started Kindergarten where the decision was quickly made to promote him to first grade where he could hopefully be more challenged. He is still progressing much faster than his peers so Rowan and Delia are quietly contacting the parents of other high functioning children to try to decide how to proceed with Ephraim’s education.
Lastly, much though they decided not to have any more children, Rowan and Delia found themselves expecting another baby not long after the twins were born. This time, however, Delia was not the one carrying the baby. The 16-year old daughter of a close family friend had recently discovered she was pregnant, the result of a secret relationship with a 25-year old man who quickly stopped answering her calls when she told him. Heartbroken and scared, Clarice told her parents and the decision was made that she should not keep the child. Rowan and Delia quickly agreed to raise the child as their own and were thrilled when the child turned out to be a girl. Clarice asked if she could name her daughter and the couple agreed. Thus, Blair Adina rounded out the Roberts clan.
I like choosing from the nameberry lists: it gives a good number/variety.
