[Opinions] Markela
I saw this name on a woman's name tag at the airport the other day. She may have been hispanic or possibly of Turkish descent.
If you had asked me before whether I liked the name I would have said no, but for some reason it seemed to suit this woman and now I like it.

Sounds like Marcela with a hard c, looks like the nametag misspelt Markéta. But it's not a bad sound.
Marcella's actually nice.
Don't think I'd like it... If I saw it on a small child, I'd prob'ly think someone was trying to take the Michaela concept and feminize a dif. boys' name.

It does sound nice.
I knew a girl named Marquelle (pronounced Mar-kell') whose father was named Mark. She was very pretty and the family was very nice, so I always had a positive view of the name.
Another form I've seen recently is Marketa (pronounced Mar-key'-tah).
