I came across this girls name the other day. I'm pronouncing it eh-LAH. I haven't decided if I like it yet. Would people mistake it for Ella? Or does it just sound like a noise: Blah, blah, blah...?

It sounds quite exotic to me, but I don't like how it looks on the page - it does seem like a noise. I didn't immediately associate it with Ella, as I thought it would be pronounced EE-lah.
