Firstly, I thought it said Aragorn. Maybe that's just the Tolkien fan in me.

Either way I think it's unsuitable as a name.

So wouldn't do it... Not very attractive and looks too much like Aragorn to not be associated w/ "Lord of the Rings" character... and some people may think that's what they aimed for and spelled it wrong. Plus, my association w/ real life and the name Aragorn is a friend of mine's ex-boyfriend who dumped her suddenly when he decided to swing the other way... real shock to the system for her to be living w/ some guy for a couple years and have him suddenly change his preferences like that.

I think it's a pretty cool name really. Especially for a boy and especially a a middle name.

Aragón is beautiful, but everyone would think it was Aragorn. I read about a woman who came to Sweden from Mexico. Her last name is Aragón (it's the name of a region in Spain), but everyone in Sweden went: "Oh, cool, like in Lord of the Rings!" She was rather tired of it.

I basically thought of the guy from LOTR. I didn't even realize it wasn't the same name until others also mentioned it and i noticed the spelling was a bit different. So if I met an Aragon, I'd think his parents were super into LOTR. I think it could work just fine.

Aragon has too many literary connotations for my taste (Aragorn from LOTR and Aragog from Harry Potter).

I realize the far-extending roots of the name Aragon, but in modern times, it looks like someone tried to combine Aragorn and Eragon (I shudder at the latter). Personally, I don't recommend it.

I don't like it much as a name for a real person. It will be constantly confused with Aragorn, so a person named Aragon would be constantly pointing out the difference then explaining that it was a place name and so on.
