[Opinions] Nell
If you wanted to be able to use the nn Nell, which full name would you use? (Options are typically Helen, Ellen, Eleanor and variants but be creative if you want.) Thank you!

I knew a Cornelia who went by Nel (one L). And I had a great-aunt whose one and only name was Nellie. Then there's Petronella ...

EleanorThough, I can't use it, because my sister is Elanor. We call her El most often as a shortening, but we've used Ell-Nell, Ella-Nella and Ella-Nella-Noria as cutesy nicknames when she was younger. I also like Penelope.

I would use...Helen or Elinor.I really love Nell, by the way. It's darling.Btw, Penelope is also a fantastic full name for Nell!

I use it for Danielle, but I don't like Danielle personally. (Daniela wouldn't be terrible, I suppose.)I'd like to use it for Eleanor or Anneliese.
Sanela is kind of cool.

I would probably just use Nell on its own...I can't think of any names I like that Nell could be a short form of.

Petronelle / Petronella
Antonella
Ninel / Ninelle - If the Lenin reference bothers you, just tell people it's a combination of Nina and Elle.

NigellaNigella is one name that I love to use in name games, etc. with the nickname Nell. Nigella is so cool, I think, but it's kind of hard for me to approach without a friendlier nickname. I think Nell is just sweet and pleasant and a nice balance for it. I also like it for Pietronella, although it's almost a little too elaborate for me, and Cornelia. I know it's 'neel' rather than 'nell' but I don't mind the sound change of Cornelia to Nell. Cordelia "Del" is something I like, along those same lines.

Helen and Penelope work, as would Eleanora. My grandmother was Natalie, but she was called Nellie. So would Pimpernel, but then again that name sounds a little too unusual.
