I think it should go on the ugly list, sorry. It looks too much like the word "sting", and I don't think that makes for a very nice name.

Kinda off topic but I know a girl named Justina and her nickname is Stina.

Aw, I don't know, it's not really ugly enough. If it was Stinka, now we're talking.

Reminds me of the word "sting", so it naturally reminds me of bee stings. I don't care for it.

I think it's kind of cute, but in Sweden it's often a nickname for Kristina and much associated with little irritating Stina from Astrid Lindgren's Saltkråkan (Seacrow Island). I definitely don't find it ugly, anyway, but I guess I'm biased since it's a Swedish name.

I quite like it, but prefer it as a nickname. It's the only Kristina nickname I like.

I like it very much. I think it's got an 1800th - 1900th century feeling because it was very common here during that time period (usually as a nn for Christina).

I really don't care for it, family name or not. It's just too short and doesn't have a pleasant sound to me.

I just don't like Stina. I keep wondering where the 'Chris' part is. It looks wrong, it sounds wrong. It also makes me think of words such as 'stink' and 'stingy.'

I have a Stina, a Stine, and a Stinne in my close circle of friends, so I only think good things about this name. It definitely doesn't belong on a list for ugly names...

I know a few Stina's. One of them is really mean and it is probabl because of her I dislike the name. The other one is a relative (or well, her real name is Christina, but everyone calls her Stina)

I think the reason I have an "ugly" feeling about it is because it reminds me of the word "stink".

I'm going to be completely honest - I don't like it. It makes me think of bee sting.

I wouldn't say it is ugly. There is a Stanja at my school. It might be spelled differently, but it is pronounced STAHN-yuh.
