I'm crushing on the name Gloria today. Help me think of some nifty combos? None of my go-to middle faves really work with it.

I've really been liking Gloria lately, too! I've known an older Gloria all my life, so I've heard the name but only recently tried to imagine it on a younger woman. I like it. I think it's charming and grand, like Victoria, and has an angelic overtone. A young Gloria has strong family ties and a strong personality. She is confident and probably upper-class, quick-witted and maybe quick-tempered. Perhaps she has a good singing voice (maybe I'm thinking too much of Roman rite and 'Angels We Have Heard on High'), but she has a good sense of fashion, tending towards classy and demure, very pearls, pencil skirts, and Chanel No. 5. Yay clapping!Gloria Heloise is great, too! Charisse I'm not so sure on, I prefer Cerise (going with the red image) but the soft "ch" sound at the beginning is nice and it's a nice association.You're welcome :)

The Gloria I know is Gloria Francesca (her sisters are Romina Rosa and Renee Maria if you're interested). I always thought her combo was nice.Let's see...I feel as though it needs an Italian/Spanish mn but it could be nice to see it with something a little unexpected:

Kidding...I don't hate it but it is really dated and my aunt (who is 60 & named Gloria) does hate it. Her middle name is Jean, which seems a popular combo. There was even a coffee chain near her named Gloria Jean's. Gloria Leona

I do too. Apparently, her parents were feuding over Gloria and Marie Antoinette. They didn't want all three names because of thier very long ast name and so she grew up being called "Gloria Antoinette" as her given name. Now she goes by "Toni" :-)

Oh your suggestions have given me some great ideas! I'm struggling with figuring out Gloria's vibe, but I think she's sort of a sratchy, rough-edged socialite. Like someone who was born poor bt married an oil baron. So sort of gauche, but with a good, cotton-simple soul. Gloria Nanette
