[Opinions] Israeli
I really like this as a name. I have thought that it sounded more like a girl's name then a country's name for a while. Do you think it could work for a person? If so which sex?

No.Israeli is not a name to me - it's a type of person. Israel is a name and was a name before the country. It's all boy to me.

It's not working for me. Maybe Isra Lee?

That's nice. Something to think about, anyway. Thanks.

I don't like it as a name at all.

I prefer it as just Israel and it's all boy.

Well, the country is called Israel, which I think is a fine name, but I prefer Iser. The people from Israel are Israeli, so it's like calling a child Londoner or French. It seems very weird to me, and I can't get behind it, but, to each his own.

Yes, but Londoner doesn't sound anything like a name and Israeli sounds more like a name then French or Londoner (especially Londoner)

I disagree, Israeli does not sound like a name, at all. It's like naming someone American or Japanese. It's the common term for citizens of the state of Israel, and I've never seen it used as a name. Maybe if you had never heard any people referred to as Israelis, you might think it sounded sort of namey - but you might think that about American or Japanese, too.

That's totally subjective. To me, Israeli sounds no more a name than Londoner *shrug*
