Definitely Ariadne. It's gorgeous. Sheridan has a decent sound, but I don't really like it all that much for a girl.

Ariadne, of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a friend with this name, though we don't ever call her that. We have it shortened to something else. Something that I think actually fits her better than calling her Ariadne.

Sheridan, hands down.I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Ariadne reminds me of "adenoid." I think it's a hopelessy unattractive name, while Sheridan has a romantic feel that makes it shine.

Ariadne for a girl; Sheridan for a boy

Odd one out hereI must be the only other person to say Sheridan. Yeah, Sheridan isn't really my style, but at least it doesn't sound clumsy like Ariadne. That 'D' in the middle of it kind of slops up the name, in my opinion.

I agree, Ariadne sounds clumsy

Ariadne ad infinitumSheridan and Ariadne are on two vastly different levels!

TrittoAriadne is so pretty. Sheridan is so...not. And it sounds like someone with a cold trying to say Sheraton.

AriadneSheridan isn't even remotely appealing to me. I think Ariadne's lovely, and I like Ariadna a lot as well (even Aria is growing on me!)

I'm gonna have to say...Sheridan. Ariadne reminds me of 'acromantula' or 'arachnid', whereas I don't have any negative associations with Sheridan whatsoever.

Ooooohhh... tough one.Sheridan is a great, classy name--although as New_Chloe said, it is a bit soap opera-ish.Ariadne is undeniably beautiful, and doesn't have the soap opera vibe, so I'll have to suggest that one. A good combo is Ariadne Clarisse.
