If a family name, I would consider it. Otherwise, it smacks of trying too hard. Sorry for being harsh.

I think of John Forsythe who is my friend's grandfather. He's an actor (Charlie's Angeles) and passed away. I think it's very random to use a last name unless it's a family name and I'm assuming it's not. I don't like it at all.

It looks/sounds incomplete. I much prefer Forsythia. Either way though, it is very cool (and a beautiful plant).

I think it is a surname. I do not care for it as first name for a boy.

To me it's a last name, esp since I know someone with that last name.
