[Opinions] Rebeccanne
You should check out the comments for Rebeccanne. The hatred for it is absolute! I'm thinking of adding it to my Ugly Names list, because I personally love it. It seems more dark-New World than cheesy modern to me, but maybe I'm just being silly.
anyways, what do you think of poor, shunned Rebeccanne?

Ew. I think it should continue to be shunned. God, that's even worse than my own sumushed-with-Ann first name. What's wrong with Rebecca Ann(e)?
Bad case of fingertwitch. Sorry!
It's a total b*tch to pronounce. Where is the emphasis? reBECCan? rebeCAN? Oh dear. It's not even cheesy. But it can be very dark indeed:
In a future world, there is a bad accident. The Reconstructive Surgery squad are called out to do what they can. Some parts of both victims are too smashed to save, but there are at least two legs, two arms, most toes, a head and a torso. They stitch 'em up. And the result, of course, is Rebeccanne.

Ok not gonna lie, it's pretty disastrous.
Reminds me of Renesmee.
It is such a glorious trainwreck, with all those double letters cannoning into each other. It deserves a special pedestal all of its own so we can all gawp at it some more. I think I'd pronounce it re-beckon, like I have already becccannned you and now I'm gonna beccannne you some more.
I actually lol'd
Oh Pie you are so funny
It's definitely a fun trainwreck to stare at

I find it kind of Puritan-esque and because of that, it is kind of neat. I definitely don't hate it.
It's so bizarre to me that Rebeccanne and Sarahjeanne are in the database. Why would those two smushed names get accepted when nobody's really ever heard of them? It's not like they're common smushings like Maryjane or whatever. I mean theoretically you could just smush any two female names together you wanted and add it to the database as English (Rare).
Edit: Nevermind, looks like Sarahjeanne finally got taken out.

yeah I've certainly never heard of it
that must be why I'm so enamoured with it. It's like finding a really cool made-up name in an old history book.

The double letters are what I don't like. It makes the name look awkward :(
I like REH-bec-ANNE, but when I see it I stumble a little trying to say re-BEC like in Rebecca.

It bothers me because I can't help but pronounce it re-beck-ANNE.
It doesn't exactly sound cheesy modern to me, either. It sounds sort of semi-literate Puritan.

that's how I say it
I don't know if it has a "proper" pronunciation, because it's not really a "proper" name, is it. It's a Rebeccanne free-for-all!

Rebeccanne wouldn't be pronounced Rebecca-Anne would it?!
It would be pronounced re-beck-anne or re-beck-ah-nn. You need two As in it surely?!
This is definitely a case of a hyphenated name being better.
For the record, I know a girl called Maryelizabeth, and she always insists on being called by the whole name.

I know a Maryelizabeth too! Or maybe it's MaryElizabeth. But there's not space in it, whatever it is. She's always Liz.
Rebeccaänne is really elegant
I would prefer Rebecca-Anne for neatness's sake but it's not all that bad...kinda cute actually.
And I thought Sarahjeanne was bad...
Rebeccanne!? Ickety ick ick ick...
BTW, I have a plush panda which I named Sarahelaine when I was 12, because I like Sarah Brightman and Elaine Paige. It's a really cheesy name, isn't it?
