[Opinions] Tatum
I've always had a soft spot for this name, even was I was a kid. I'm not sure what the general opinion would be here, though. WDYT of Tatum, and do you think it ages well? Does it remind you of Tatum O'Neil, or does it have its own personality? What would you think if you met someone who gave their daughter this name?
Thanks. :)
Thanks. :)

It sounds like the name of a child's toy, in the way that a teeter-totter can be the same as a see-saw. And that -um ending is neuter in Latin, and names with neuter forms were regularly given to slaves on the grounds that they weren't real people like the rest of us ... so although neither of these points is valid for Tatum, they combine to put me right off it.
I don't like it at all. I really loathe the sound. Also, it doesn't strike me as feminine at all.
I know a Tatum. She is really short for her age, has blond hair and brown eyes, and is very energetic. She does not care at all what other people think about her.
So, I guess that whenever I think of the name Tatum, I think of her.

I've always found it really unattractive - it reminds me of tantrum. I don't really know who Tatum O'Neil is, so that doesn't bother me. It always struck me as overly masculine for a girls' name, though - there's nothing pretty about it. Sorry for being so hard on it :P
Sorry, but I think Tatum sounds like some kind of disease, like thetanus...
I think it's VERY unattractive. It reminds me of potato.
I like it. My mom used to have two sisters in her home daycare centre named Tatum and Tamsin. They were around when I was just brand-new, so I never knew them. But I always admired their names.
I don't even really know who Tatum O'Neil is, so I'm ok with that association. I'd think a parent of a Tatum would be someone kind of edgy who doesn't follow female stereotypes and is cuttingly smart(Tatum seems like a very tomboyish, executive-dynamic name).
