[Opinions] Re: Patricia
in reply to a message by Wordsmith
I used to hate Patricia because I thought of Tricia Nixon as the epitome of uptight, perfect perfectitude. (I always felt guilty about this because I knew nothing of her other than what her father represented. I did like her wedding dress. But I could never get the "Tricia = uptight" thing out of my head.)
Fast forward to the present. I now find Patricia to be fresh and, like you, delightfully restrained, not uptight. My favorite nn for her is Pax.
It's like walking into a candy store and trying to pick out my favorite kind of chocolate. But my favorites:
Patricia Caroline (Nixon meets Kennedy?)
Patricia Clare (aw)
Patricia Hazel (Hazel Patricia was a character on "Upstairs Downstairs")
Patricia Ione
Patricia Leontine -- heavenly
Patricia Verity
What wuold you say to Patricia Vivien / Vivienne?
Can you say Patricia Cecily or Patricia Eugenie? Patricia Iris comes out as Patricia Irish when I try. Kudos if you can, but mixing "s," "sh" and "zh" defeats me.
