Vaughn & Murphy on girls?
Obviously, I don't know these people and am not privy to their inner naming motives, and maybe I'm reading too much in to the wrestling connection, but this *looks* like another case of "I want my little girl to have a strong name" syndrome. It's a long-held peeve of mine.
Why is it that feminine names are often considered inherently *not* strong?

I don't get it either.
I personally think that many authentic feminine names sound strong.
It's like the parents of a daughter named Vaughn, Ryan, or Elliot think their daughter can't accomplish anything good if she has a feminine name like Violet, Aurelia, Irene, Filomena, or Theodora. It is a sexist, backwards way of thinking.

Ugh. It seems very strange that they started off with a very feminine name, Aurora, and then moved on to very masculine surname names. The girly middle names do little to make up for this, so I am not a fan of the sibset!

Maybe it's just me, but I find nothing remotely feminine or pleasant sounding about Vaughn and Murphy. Nothing! And while Aurora sure tops the other two, Aurora Rose is the joke name my dh and I had while I was PG with my youngest. It's difficult for me to believe someone actually used it and can't hear the Scooby Doo quality of the combo.

I like Vaughn better for a girl, I'm not sure why. But Vaughn Evelyn & Murphy Claire have such a different vibe from Aurora Rose - I can't even believe that they're all sisters.
