[Opinions] A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square
Is what I think of, and I also think of a university.I don't consider Brooklyn and Berkeley the same at all. Both Brooke and Lynn are female names, so Brooklyn can be seen as a compound of these names. It sounds feminine. Berkeley does not sound like a fn at all, and especially not a female one imo.Vera Lynn (UK) sang this famous song around WWII:That certain night,
The night we met,
There was magic abroad in the air.
There were angels dining at the Ritz
And a nightingale sang in Berk'ley SquareI may be right, I may be wrong,
But I'm perfectly willing to swear
That when you turn'd and smiled at me,
A nightingale sang in Berk'ley Square
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)
