May is one of my absolute favorite names!! I love it so much-it might just be one of the best names there is! And no, I don't think it would be weird if little May wasn't born in May-in fact, that would be better, because if she was it would just seem like she was named after the month she was born in, and that's just lame. And no, May doesn't need to be a nickname for something-it's perfect as a stand-alone name! Unfortunately I have never met any May's :( I have only seen them as characters in movies and plays-for example, the one from Pokemon (loved that show as a kid ^^) and in a play that my school did last year, which was set in 1969. But May is a wonderful name!
