Made me think of Zazu from The Lion King when I first saw it, but it has grown on me too within seconds. :) Zuzu is sweet.

I guess it's cute as a nn but sounds very silly as a full name.

I do prefer it as a nickname for something like Susan or Susuannah, but I like Zuzu Audrey, though it's not my style. It's more interesting than Susan Audrey.

Zuzu is one of those names celebrities seem to like (like Lola, Coco, etc.) that I think only work as nicknames and don't age well at all. I do think it would be a nice nickname for Zuzana or Zuleika.

I think Zuzu (and Suzu) is an adorable nn but one that is too childish for professional use or even everyday use. My family has always called me JuJu (one member still does) and I'd DIE if anyone else did. I mean, I've grudgingly accepted it as a term of endearment from my family, but it would be far too embarrassing in any other circumstance.

OTOH, there's nothing wrong with Susan, Suzanne or Suzanna /h with the nn Zuzu. Re: Zuzu Audrey, I'd MUCH prefer Suzanne Audrey or Susan Audrey.

I love Zuzu as a nickname for Susanna! I don't think it ages too well, though, so I only love it as a nickname.

The combo is fine.

I think it would be a fun nickname for a longer, probably adventurous Z name. It's sort of like Lulu though, in that I only *really* like it for a nn.

Would you believe, I know several people named Zuzu..but they are male. My husband being from the Middle East, I, spend quite a lot of time in the Canadian/U.S.-Mid-East community, and have picked up on their nick-names;Zuzu is the usual one for Joseph, or Yousf.

They are great ones for nick-names,usually a repeated syllable..Mimi (Marie), Louli (Eli), Coca(Nicole).

I definitely think it would have made a better nickname. It does sound very childish. It also reminds me of the bird Zazu from The Lion King. I think it just sounds very silly.

Like Zhu-zhu pets? Or is it Zsazsa, but without the haceks for the zh sound? If it's like the toy, no, it doesn't work. If it's like Zsazsa, Hungarian for Suzy, then it works. Sidenote- when my sister Suzy and I were bored one summer vacation, we looked through the section in the back that had a bunch of names and meanings, and found that. It's my favorite nn for her when she's bugging me.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is my very favorite movie, and I certainly associate the name Zuzu with the movie, as it's the only place I've ever heard it. However, loving the movie can't make me love the name. I find it very silly and childish. Okay as a childhood nickname, I guess, but certainly not as a full given name. For some reason, even though it's never stated, I've always imagined that the "It's a Wonderful Life" character's real name is Susan, Suzanne, or some such, and Zuzu just a nickname.
