I don't dislike it but I do find it dated. I thought it very dated when I started high school & one was in my class. Since then I have met others my age & I don't find it that bad. It has a nice classic strong feel to it. I like it best without a nickname as Susie is too young/immature/ditzy sounding & Sue is definitely middle aged.
