In order of preference, I'd go for Suzanne first, then Susannah (for family reasons) and finally Susan, but I like them all. The world is groaning under the weight of Susans in their 50s and 60s, but I always think of it as suitable for a character in a 1930s kids' book, like the Arthur Ransome stories. Healthy, positive, outdoor name.
