I absolutely LOVE it for a horse. I've never thought about it on a human before. I like it, but I don't think just anyone could pull it off. NNs... Vicky and Tori / Tory are the obvious ones, but maybe Vi or Torya would be more interesting? Victoria "Victory" might be kind of cool too.
Neila is good, but I had to look at it twice to see whether it was Neila (NEEL-a) or Niela (nee-EL-a), or NYE-la... I suppose Neely could be used as a feminine form for Neil? Neily? Neili? Neille? Neila is probably the best option so far.
