A timeless classic.

I find it a very boring first name. I guess just because I must know at least 6 Alex's. So overused. I used to think Alexander mm Xan or Xander was cool, but now those are overused too. Dang. I don't dislike the name itself, though, and would consider it in the middle name spot.

Alexander is a great name, strong, masculine and timeless. You can't really go wrong with Alexander. I prefer it as a middle name though because it's pretty boring as a first name.
I hate the nickname Alex. It ruins everything that's great about Alexander.

I think it is highly over rated and boring. I really can't decide it's a strong name or whiney name. It seems like most of the Alexanders I meet are whiney.

I love Alexander. When I was about 10 (9 years ago) I said that I would name my first son this. Not sure about that now, but Alexander is still in my top 3. I think it's a really strong masculine name with a lot of awesome history. I love Alex and Xander as nicknames.

I love it and I love the nickname Alex, but I wouldn't use it because it's been too popular. It's the one name that I can think of that I would definitely use if it weren't so popular, but would definitely NOT use because it IS so popular.
