[Opinions] Fallon??
I love the name Fallon (for a girl). What are your thoughts on it? What does it remind you of? What are some middle names that you like with it?

What is it with people trying to put surnames on girls? I'm not a fan at all, not feminine in any way whatsoever.
I know it isn't pronounced this way, but I think fall on and then the middle name is the person she is supposed to fall on.

Fallon Amalia
Fallon Winter (maybe not - fall an' winter - oops ha ha ha)

I knew a Fallon myself who was very nice. I don't like the name, but I'll give it a pass since I knew someone with the name.
I just think of Jimmy. There's nothing about Fallon that really screams feminine to me. And there's nothing really about it that grabs me. I don't know. Anyhow, I 'd definitely put a fairly feminine middle name with it.

Reminds me of my awful principal I had in elementary school.
I used to kind of like it, but now I am just neutral to it. I wrote a story once with a tiger named Fallon and now that's all I think of when I hear the name.
I like it, but not nearly enough to use. I'd consider it trendy, but not really in a bad way-- just in a "names-like-this-are-way-too-popular" way. It reminds me of fall, and a girl named Fallon I used to have a dance class with. The spelling seems sort of masculine almost, so I wouldn't use anything frilly with it.
Fallon Margaret maybe? I'll finish thinking of combos later.

I'm old enough to remember "Dynasty" on T.V. Back then we only had three main channels to watch and it was big. BIG. "Who shot J.R?" was the topic on everyone's mind's one summer. Gawd it was the cheesiest, most embarassing 80's soap opera I can think of. Wow it was bad.
Fallon automatically reminds me of "Dynasty." I can't stand it. Sorry. Even back then, the character's name reminded me of a hawk's talon -- sharp and dangerous. Ouch. I have no other assoications for it.
Now Afton, on the other hand, another character's name, is different. It has a pretty sound so I wanted to get the "Dynasty" association out of my head. The only way I managed that was to sing, "Flow Gently Sweet Afton" until the soap opera character was gone.

I can't help but see it as strictly a surname. So I'm not a fan of it as first name on anyone, especially a girl. It just doesn't sound pretty at all, and it reminds me of the word fallible.
It looks and sounds too much like "fallen". No thanks.
I really like Fallon for either gender.
ETA. Oops meant to post this in response to the original poster. Sorry.
