[Opinions] Trinidad
I've been liking the Spanish name Trinidad a lot lately. I like it a lot better than Trinity. I also like the nickname Trini. I know that Trinidad is an island in the Caribbean, but I still like it as a girls' name. What do you think of Trinidad for a girl?

I know a family with the last name of Trinidad, so to me, it's a name I wouldn't use. Spanish words ending in -dad are feminine, so it makes sense to me.

Even though I would've thought Trinidad would be more masculine, I agree that Trinidad is better than Trinity. It's not a name I would ever use, but it would be neat to see it on someone else's child.

It seems more masculine to me but I really don't see it being on either.

I adore it. There aren't many good T names for a girl. And this is one of my favorites. I especially like the "-dad" ending which is what I think most people don't like about it. But Trinidad and Verdad have always held a fascination for me. Plus with Trinidad, as you say, you get the super cute nn Trini. The only problem (and it's a fun one) is finding the right mn for it. I would want something more conventional because Trinidad would be so unusual. But it still needs a slightly exotic feeling. Could be tricky.

I don't like it as a name at all, especially not for a girl.

I like it and like you I prefer Trinidad over Trinity. Trini is not my cup of tea though and since I can't think of any other nicknames I like but think it should have one if it's a first name I'd probably use it as a middle name.

I like it. The place makes it s bit odd, but if kids are named London and Ireland, why not Trinidad? I also think it's better than Trinity. I wouldn't use it myself but I'd like it if I saw it on someone else's kid.

I can't get behind it, because there is a small town in my county called Trinidad. Also, the 'dad' doesn't make it the least bit feminine in my mind.
