[Opinions] Cirrus
I was watching a documentary by the guy who set up the cloud apreciation society. (was about clouds, funily enough :P) and he said his girls middle name was Cirrus, I think the type of cloud is beautiful, and the name sounds so light it rolls off the tongue. Would you use it? If so, as a fn or sn?:0)

I think its cute! Wouldn't use it myself, but I'm not a professional cloud appreciator, lol. Definitely a middle name!

Cirrus is kind of pretty, I suppose. I'd definitely only use it as a middle name, if at all. I also think I'd prefer it for a boy.

I think it's an interesting name. I knew a girl who went by Cirrus, though I don't know if that was her real name or not.

Haha it reminds me of the word circus.I think it's neat and pretty as a name if you're interested in the study of clouds but I don't really see people using it otherwise. On Wikipedia it says that cirrus means curl of hair, which is a cool meaning.

I like it because it reminds me of a book I was really into as a kid. A non-human character was called Cirrus. Actually it was a dinosaur. A flying dinosaur. Now that I think about it more seriously, I rather like it. I love Nimbus best, but not for a person. Cirrus reminds me of Cecilia - light, wispy, shining. Cecilia Cirrus would actually really lovely, if a lisper's nightmare. Celia Cirrus maybe?

No. I can appreciate the meaning, but it just sounds like a bastardized version of Cyril to me.I'd much rather see Nephele, for the cloud connection.

I suppose if the guy loves clouds enough to set up a cloud appreciation society, he would make his daughter's middle name Cirrus! And perhaps his son's middle name is Cumulus? :)Anyway, I think Cirrus is pretty cool, but it seems more masculine to me. I guess because the sound is like a blend of Cyril and Cyrus. It reminds me more of Cyril, which is a name I really like. I would consider Cirrus if I were really into nature names, as a fn or mn.

I see what you mean about it sounding a bit masculine. It didn't cross my mind at first because it reminded me so much of the femenine name, Charis.:0)
