I think it would be perfectly fine as a full name. "Dora the Explorer" is popular for kids these days, but I don't think that the name is unusable because of that. "Maya the Bee" didn't seem to hinder Maya's popularity, so why not use Dora? People might bring up the association, but it's not that big of a deal. I don't think it would bring about much ridicule.
