[Facts] Caillou
I'm sure at least a few of you here have heard of this cartoon about a little boy named Caillou. I like the sound of the name but have found no real information on it. I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it. TIA!

As others said, Caillou does mean "pebble" (and by extension "bald head"), but it's not used as a name in France. It's just a word that a TV show used as a name.
And another one.
It seems that this name seems to inspire lots of convos:

I read that it metaphorically means "little bald head" ("pebble" or "stone" is the literal meaning). It's also a place name in Louisiana. A friend of mine in Texas had a nephew named Caillou (born before the cartoon was made) and they had Cajun roots of some sort, but that is the only time I've heard it used.
Aha, "little bald head" totally makes since with what Caillou looks like
It means "pebble" in French, but I don't think it is used as a name in France.
