Given how common Anna is in English-speaking countries, you can't expect people to pronounce it in an unusual way, especially as that spelling conducive to a short 'a' sound in English.

Actually it's not unsual. Go to other countries besides english speaking ones... and you'll see that they do. Anna can be pronounced not just ANN-nah... it's just more common in certain places.but I said that I was probably going to stay with this pronuncuatuin already. lol.
