[Opinions] Talasyn?
Hey guys, this is a name that I recently ran into. All I know about it is that it is feminine and it isn't made up out of thin air--or so I'm told. My limited research hasn't produced any favorable results, so I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it. You may give your opinions, too, obviously, but it's the info behind it that I'm really interested in.Thanks in advance!

Hopefully the name facts board is helping you with this one, cause I've got nothing in terms of knowledge. :o) But opinions, I got:
Is looks really cool but when I say it out loud I hear talisman. I guess that could be a good association, bad association, or just useless info.

It could be a feminization of Taliesin perhaps?

Hm. I like it, but something (maybe the similarity to Talfryn?) makes it seem masculine on first glance. I have no idea where it's from!

To me it sounds more like a riff on Alison, maybe with a bit of Taliesin in there.:)

Yeah! It sounds like Allison with a T pretty much, lol. Maybe that's all there is to this name and it is made up. Ah well. Thanks for the reply!

I like Taliesin which is a welsh name, but don't like the crazy spelling of OP. Taliesin was connected with the Merlin legend, it means shining brow and he maybe was the original poet/bard wizard that inspired Merlin's legend or is sometimes said to be the teacher of Merlin.

Y'know, that's what I was thinking. I was hoping it'd be more than a crazy feminine spelling of Taliesin. Thanks!
