The past three years have been generally good for Alexandra and Demetrius. Alexandra's frequent parties have tentatively come to a halt, as Antonius will barely ever leave her side. She spends a great deal of each day with her son, his energetic nature often leaving her extremely tired by the end of the day. Like Alexandra, Antonius is very picky about his belongings and has a short temper, although he's not as aggressive when expressing his anger as Alexandra is. Antonius misses his father, who is often gone on foreign trips and who he only sees for a few weeks at a time. Nerissa feels her father's long absenses the hardest, as she's grown very close to him. Alexandra has explained to her children that their father's helping the country very much, but Nerissa still doesn't fully understand why he has to be gone so much. Even though she is very laid back, Nerissa is also very motivated. She enjoys studying, especially mathematics.
Alexandra couldn't have been more excited to discover she was pregnant once again. Antonius didn't understand why his mother's stomach was getting so big and he definitely wasn't pleased with the fact that she didn't have the energy to play with him anymore. This pregnancy was very physically straining on Alexandra, to the extent that she was put on bedrest for the last four months of her pregnancy. Fortunately, Demetrius was able to remain in Kriana for the second half of the pregnancy and often took the kids to visit Alexandra on bedrest. In the very early hours the morning, Alexandra finally gave birth to her second son. They decided to name him Dominic Cassius Alexander. Dominic has his father's dark hair and his mother's brown eyes and olive skin. Dominic is a very happy baby, hardly every crying. Luckily, Alexandra was able to recover from the difficult birth before it was time for the wedding in Lethia. Demetrius had spent a lot of time there, promoting the relationship between Kriana and Lethia. Alexandra was excited to show off the wealth of her and her family, and especially show off her children.
Antonius is very reluctant to share Alexandra's attention with his new little brother. He seems to want nothing to do with the new addition to the family, and usually clings to his mother whenever she's with Dominic. Normally Antonius is very happy and energetic, but often turns very jealous when his younger brother recieves any kind of attention. Nerissa on the other hand loves taking care of her brothers, especially playing with Antonius and rocking Dominic to sleep.
Demetrius knows that some of the older nobility aren't pleased with the newer nobility. He feels that as long as they have their titles and land, it shouldn't matter who else has them as well. He's also aware that many of the nobles at Court don't approve of his wife's common birth. Alexandra had been born into a semi well off, yet common family and many people do not approve of her excessive spending and arrogant demeanor. It doesn't bother Alexandra at all, but Demetrius doesn't like his wife being the subject of gossip.
