What is your opinion on the boys name Diggory? I have mixed feelings about it. If you want you can make combos.

I love how it sounds, but I'd only use it as a middle name.

I don't really like it, and I consider it more of a surname than a first name.
I think I have seen someone called Diggory, but he was some kind of fat-cat tory guy who was on the news. I think he might even have been "sir" or "lord" Diggory something. So that's the impression I have: really posh and pretentious.

My impression was the opposite of yours. It makes me think of a Victorian chimney sweeper for some reason.

Diggory Venn
It's an unusual name and an interesting one. Looking at Victorian birth data, the Digory spelling (which I think I prefer) seems to have been more common. With the given spelling, I think of Diggory Venn from Thomas Hardy's Return of the Native - he's quite an interesting character.
If I were using it, I'd go with something fairly common to balance it, like, say, Digory Thomas or Digory James. Looking at those, I think it's growing on me.

OK, that is freaky weird because I didn't know that AT ALL! I only ever read the first book and saw the first movie.

:D Haha, I didn't know if you knew that or not. But yeah we don't meet Amos until the 4th book / movie. And he's a really minor character too so I doubt many people except for HP nerds know anything about him. :)
