I heard this name on a little girl at the park, they called her Gensie. It may well be spelled Jensia. Her brother was Robert.
What do you think?
Plus the worst thing that could happen to a name nerd, my son tells me "I don't like Killian I wanna be Joe". This is to my horror but understandable. At the playground Killian tells everyone his name is something like Harry, Dan, Joe or Caillou.. All characters he loves

Gensia leaves me cold.
I don't mind Killian, but I'd never use it. Joe, on the other hand, has always seemed like the friendliest nn imaginable; so I'm with your DS all the way.
It's a stage they sometimes go through: we went on holiday once with our DS and his great-aunt, and he decided (at age about 8/9) to introduce himself to his new friends as David (his first mn) instead of Peter. They accepted this happily of course, but Auntie was seriously confused when eager little boys turned up at the door asking if David could come out and play ...

It's interesting, but it seems like something is missing in terms of appearance. Jensia and Gensia both look awkward to me. I'm also not too keen on the sound of it. It's not horrible or anything, though.
