I think if Jasper is too Twilight associated, then Jesper would be too - they're so close. Also I think people would get confused and constantly call him Jasper.

Basically, I would say just go for Jasper (which I LOVE by the way!)

The only problem I have with Jesper is it really reminds me more of Jester than Jasper. I do like Jess/Jesse as a nickname though (my name:))

It's one of my favorite names. The pronunciation is YES and not JES so I think the nn's Jess/Jesse are out unless you are also using a Y sound with those.

I don't like the sound of it and at first glance people will think Jasper. He'll be call Jasper a lot.
