I love Martina! It's a strong, grounded, thoroughly uncommon name.

I really like it. It makes me smile. :) The real Gretl von Trapp's name was Martina.

My association is Martina McBride, the country singer. I don't necessarily like all of her songs, but the image is a positive one overall. I'm not really fond of the "tina" component in names, but the "mar" sound helps soften my reaction to that. I'm not wowed by it, but I think it's a nice name; refreshing.

I'm more of a fan of elegant Martine. Martina seems a bit of a blabber-mouth, as if she couldn't keep a secret. Martine, on the other hand, is the soul of discretion.
