I fell in love with the name Beryl when I discovered Beryl Markham was a pioneering pilot in the 1920's / 30's, in Kenya. It has an air of rebellion about it for me.
The only Beryl I ever met, however, pronounces it with one syllable, just like Burl Ives. Yikes! So my one caveat is that it has to be pronounced the U.K. way, rhyming with Cheryl. Hopefully no one else other than the one I met pronounces it "burl."
You offer so many great options that I get dizzy. My favorites: Beryl Astrid, Beryl Cornelia, Beryl Enid (love that inter-war feel), Beryl Judith, Beryl Margaret, Beryl Minerva, Beryl Ottoline (colonial Africa meets Bloomsbury bohemians), Beryl Regina ("-JEE-nuh"), Beryl Rosamund (don't mess with her), Beryl Rowena, Beryl Winifred.
