[Opinions] Krishna
I've been reading quite a lot of books set in India and even more about Hinduism. I've fallen in love Krishna - he's become my favorite god. I know it's feminine sounding to most people and therefore I'd use it as a middle name. Wdyt of Thomas Krishna? Other ideas?

o.M.G.I have a secret Krishna combo that was inspired by the most awesome picture of a profesor I found in a magazine once. His name was Krishna Vern and he looked like an elf wizard. He had an amazing silver moustache, black-framed round glasses, and a purple bow tie. So I decided I loved the name Krishna Vern. What about Vernon Krishna, or Vern Krishna? Too old-mannish?I like Thomas Krishna.

Too Vern YipThe man annoys me to no end. :-DBut Krishna Vern has the most amazing, wonderful sound to it - I love it!

I agree that it sounds more feminine but I do think it could work as a male middle name. Thomas Krishna is good. Krishna needs a classic, 'normal' name to anchor it.

A friend of our family's named Krishna. He's a white guy, he typically goes by Chris. His brothers call him Krish, which apparently was what he was called all through primary school. He's not Indian or Hindu, but his father's a university professor who named him after his mentor or something, not really anything to do with Hinduism. His brother is named Conrad. Weird sibset.

Honestly? If I heard it on a white kid who had no ties to Hinduism other than the fact that his parents read a little about it, I would think they were trying too hard to appear multicultural. It's not right of me, but it is what it is.

Goes a bit beyond reading a 'bit' about it.Hinduism and Buddhism are quickly becoming my thing and will probably remain that way. I don't know if it's a passing phase but I've become more and more interested in it. My aunt spent decades in India and the culture has always been fascinating to me, and it's continued to be a major influence on the majority of our family.
