Help[Opinions] Raylan?
A couple I went to high school with are expecting their first child, a boy, and they are considering naming him Raylan.
Has anybody heard this name before? It's a new one on me and I can't say that I like it. Actually, I hate it. To me it sounds like the name of some sort of synthetic material or chemical. Teflon, Nylon, Pyrex...Raylan. Perhaps a special plastic for sunglasses?
Anyway, what do you think of Raylan?

I've heard of Raelynn (my niece). It sounds like they're trying to make a girl's name masculine to me. The spelling does look like the chemicals/synthetics you mentioned.

I wouldn't use it, but it's okay. There is a little boy in my son's class named Braylon, so I am used to hearing the "sounds"
