[Opinions] Taggart
WDYT? I keep seeing the combo Taggart Malikai on facebook. Obviously we could all comment on how Malachi would be better than Malikai, but what do you think of the sound of the combo? Taggart actually happens to be on my husband's list of acceptable-middle-names-we-could-discuss. Hm. Any ideas for a Taggart combo (as mn or fn)? Also, is Tag a terrible nickname?

Tag kinda sucks as a nick name, but I really like Taggart and Malachi is nice... I suppose it could be a great flow with the last name. Taggart sounds athletic and intelligent...

I think it's SUPER ugly! But it's got a trendy-ish sound so whatevs. I know one about my age (20), he goes by Tag. It's a perfectly workable nickname.Taggart Malachi is so strange.

Ok I guess I'm one of the few who find this kinda cute in a rugged way. I have no idea what this Scottish murdershow business is about. It reminds me of a sturdy little guy, so I immediately thought of it with my other "sturdy little guy" names, like Taggart Theo
Charles Taggart "Charlie"
Toby Taggart
Rudy Taggart
Drew Taggart
Taggart Hugh / Taggart Hugo
Taggart Rupert heeeeall of which I think are rather adorableTag isn't bad, it's kinda thuggish, but it would be ok if he was not a thug. I actually see it as being a bit refined as well, probably because it's surnamey.

Sturdy little guy about sums it up for me too. :o)Charles Taggart is brilliant!
Taggart Theo is a fun alliteration, I think I could grow into that one.Thanks.

I struggle with liking it. My dislike for the -ar sound in names aside, I can't help thinking of daggar, hag, haggard... perhaps if I managed to put those connections aside, I could appreciate (though not necessarily like) the name. I think Tag is a fine nn, though. I'm pretty loose about the whole nn concept. In fact, sometimes I feel the most odd, the better for a nn.

"There's been a murrrrrder" Sorry I couldn't resist. It's a very well known scottish tv murder detective drama here and I can't think of anything else

I think Taggart is neat and Tag is cool. I see other people commented about some TV show, but if you do live where they live (I don't) it probably doesn't matter!

I live in the States, but I still know about (and love) the TV show, as I have British family.I'm sure I can't be the only person in North America who has heard of it!

"There's been a murder."Sorry, just an infamous line (said in a thick Scottish accent) from the Scottish TV detective drama Taggart, which is the only thing I can think about when I see this name.Oddly enough, I've been watching it today, as my cousin recorded the most recent series for me and as I'm in the UK visiting my family at the moment, I'm watching it!

I don't like Taggart, it's the name of a TV detective show here. Tag is quite a cool nickname, although maybe associated with "Friends" (it's not too bad of an association though, could be much worse!)I don't think Taggart Malachi sounds great. Here are some suggestions:Taggart Michael
Taggart Leonardo
Taggart Benjamin
Taggart James
Taggart Alexander
