[Opinions] Julia or Juliet?
Which would you name your real life daughter?I love both. I think I like Juliet better but I'm not so sure about the teasing potential.

JuliaI do like Juliet a lot, but somehow Julia seems more mature and classic and Juliet has a touh of flakiness about it. I might use Juliet as a pet name though.

JulietI think it's gorgeous. So elegant and musical. Never been a big Julia fan.

I would choose Juliet, I think it's beautiful. Also the teasing potential isn't too bad. Romeo comments might come out the first time people hear the name, but I don't think it would turn into long-term teasing or anything. It's not like she has a name which rhymes with something awful or is associated with anything bad.

JulietThe sound of Julia has never appealed to me. I just don't like it. At all.

I'd use Juliet without hesitation - it's really the only Jul- name I do like - but only in the mn position, because I really don't enjoy Jules, Julie etc.Teasing potential? No Juliet I ever knew got teased, or not for her name anyway.

Juliet. She may get the "Romeo" comments, but not enough to worry about.:)

I love both so much! I do feel safer using Julia as a first name. I prefer Juliet as a middle name, just in case of teasing potential. :)

I also love both. It would be hard for me to choose which to use in real life. Right now, I'd say Juliet. I wouldn't worry too much about teasing. Kids will find a reason to tease everyone, and Juliet is a beautiful name.

Easy! Hands down Juliet, but I prefer Juliette. Julia is so dated, and Juliette is beautiful

JuliaUsually I am all for the less popular option, but there is just something about Julia that trumps Juliet every time. It's probably that Julia is a lot softer and more classic, and I just can't deny a Beatles reference! Juliet is a great choice as well, I don't really think there would be too much teasing. A Romeo would probably get more flack, IMO.

Julia.Juliet is just a bit too flowery for me.

JulietThey're both pretty, but Juliet has a exotic romantic prettiness.

I wouldn't worry at all about Juliet's teasing potential -- indeed, I don't think it has any potential for teasing whatsoever.I think I prefer the simple elegance of Julia, though Juliet's sparkly romanticism also appeals to me. I'll choose Juliet this time.

JulietJuliet sounds and looks more appealing to me. I don't care much for Julia, though it's not a bad name.

I absolutely love Juliet, so I'd definitely go for that one. I'm not very keen on Julia, I have to say. It seems rather old fashioned to me.

JulietI like Julia, but I prefer Juliet. I like the finality of the 't' at the end. It has a bite that Julia lacks. I like most of the "Jul" names though - July, Jules, Julie, Julia, Juliet, Julianne, etcI think my favorite is July though :)

I prefer Juliet. I don't think a Juliet would be teased, if they were I can't imagine that the insults would be bad ones since what are you going to tease Juliet about? Being in love with Romeo? If your daughter is being teased in school it probably won't be for having the name Juliet. Kids will think of worse things to tease her for.
